THAILAND TOUR

Today Daniel and I went on a tour outside of Bangkok. The day started at 5:55am and we were picked up at 6:45am to head straight to the Floating Market. This was of course after we drove half way around Bangkok picking up other tour passengers. By 9:15 we were at the Floating Market where the local people sell their produce and goods off boats and the side of the canals. Its like Venice without its beauty...lol We left the market on a long boat and ended up at a Snake show that we did not bother to see cause we couldn't justify 200baht (au$6) to see some indian dude playing with his snake. If I really wanted to see that I could look out my window at home in Australia and watch it for free. We then went to the Bridge over the River Kwai, the same bridge the movie was made about. It was to me just a bridge over a dirty river. On the other side of the river we fed an elephant some banana's and then got back to the tour bus From there we headed a further 1.5 hours out of town to where we were supplied 'lunch'. I say 'lunch' cause only a few of us on the tour ate more than a few mouthfuls before heading to the kiosk for a can of pepsi max and a bag of chips. A further 40 mins away we ended up at the climate to the day....the Tiger Temple. There we got to sit with tigers and have our pics taken. There were adult tigers and 6 month old cubs. We had pics with both. At this temple the monks supposably take care of the big cats but I only saw the one monk and he seemed to be off with the fairys.....maybe he has the only ganja in Thailand. Tomorrow we head back to the land of nothing for the ParaGames...... oh how I wish the protesters would take over the Bangkok Int Airport so we could stay here longer....... See you in China!!!!!!

CHADD BECAME AN UNCLE.....

At 2.17am (thailand time) this morning I became in Uncle.
Little Jada Small was born this morning and she is a very healthy and cute looking baby. I think she gets her looks from her Uncle.
Im so happy to be an Uncle. I have been waiting for the phone call as I knew it would happen while I was away.
Congratulations to Britta and Scott!!!!!!!!!
Now we are off to go baby shopping.....not for a baby ourselves, (im sure they sell copies in Thailand somewhere) but for some clothes and pretty things for little girls.

THAILAND.....more shopping

Today we went to Khaosan Road Markets where all the backpackers hang out. It was the same street that we got our tattoos done. It was obviously a street for travellers on a budget. Two Pad See-Eeuw cost us $3.50aus which is a quarter of the price we would pay for 1 in Australia...and twice as nice.
Shopping seemed to be the focus today which so much stuff now needing to be couriered home cause we cannot afford the extra weight in our baggage when we finally come home from China (oh I cannot wait for that).
We then went to MBK with is the best shopping centre in Bangkok. Its 6-7 levels of retail therapy.....and in case you are asking, yes it was good for the soul. We then returned to the hotel for an afternoon swim and a fruit smoothie by the pool. There seemed to be a commotion towards the end of our swim whereby (I think) another guest advised the pool attendant that there was an 'unknown' object in the pool. I evacuated straight away cause I saw several young Chinese kids down that end of the pool. From my experience in China I could imagine they would swim in their own shit too. Dirty buggers!!!!hahahaha
Later tonight we went to the red light district called Patpong; which is great for ping pong if thats your sport. We ventured down the Gay Lane which was a bit seedy. It was full of old westerners in search of a Thai Gob Job. Daniel wouldn't let me see what was behind closed doors. One guy said that his bar had big dicked men....I asked him how that is possible being that they are Thai boys. ......you had to laugh!
